What are your responsibilities?

Your role, generally speaking, is to give feedback to GUMS and the School of Medicine and report back to the student cohort. Each representative will gather feedback and issues arising in their year level/hospital. The academic sub-committee (formed by all the above reps) will meet regularly and discuss what issues have arisen and how best to addressed them, as well as ideas and feedback about the academic support that GUMS offers. Each representative will go to School of Medicine meetings and report the feedback they have received. After each meeting, the representatives will write a brief report about what was discussed at the meeting for students to read in GUMS Noticeboard.

How to apply?

Send an email with your name, student number, position you wish to apply for, and a short paragraph about why you would like to apply for this position to academic@gums.org.au. Applications close 5pm on Tues 23 Feb. These applications will be reviewed and voted on at the next GUMS meeting (Wed 24 Feb, 5pm), where all GUMS members who attend will hold one vote for each position. Please come along if you wish to vote.
