Voting Now Online!
Sep 22 Added by: Hollie on 22/09/2009Hey guys,
You may have noticed an email arriving about voting online in the GUMS elections this year.
This was a last minute change made to ensure that all year levels get equal opportunity to vote while maintaining anonymity.
Voting has now opened and will remain open until Midnight Friday October 2 2009 (AEST). This gives you plenty of opportunity to read what each candidate has to say and even chat to them in person.
The email has only been sent to people on our membership list. If you haven’t received an email but believe you are a member or if you’re not a member but want to support a friend/GUMS, please email Tiffany (treasurer@gums.org.au) and let her know.
If you would like to join before you speak to Tiffany, you can deposit your membership fees ($20 for 1 year, $55 for all 4) using the following details:
Acc name: Griffith University Medical Society BSB: #014701 Account: #497122811
Remember to use your student ID as a reference when you transfer funds and email Tiffany after you’ve done this with your full name, student ID, year level, email, phone number and method of payment and the number of years you joined for. I know that this seems like an excessive amount of information but it helps us keep an accurate record.
If you don’t like internet banking, you can come along to the common room today at GH1 between 11:30 and 1 and sign up there.
Once you receive your email and link to vote, you can only use the link once. That means you have to vote then and there to make it count, you can't save it and come back. We've also got lots of security to ensure you only vote once.
Happy voting everyone. Remember, that the GUMS exec is here to look after you, so make sure you vote and make sure it counts!
Regards,
Hollie.
